Travellers have left a huge mile of mess after they left a field.
The 12 caravans, trucks and tree clearing equipment arrived at Beacon Field, Langdon Hills, last week.
They left this morning, but chain sawed through posts to help them get out of the field.
They have also left behind rubbish, human waste and a large amount of tree cuttings.
Ukip Cllr Stephen Hodge was at the scene this morning and spoke to a ranger who was securing the gate to the field, awaitng a specialised team from Thurrock Council who will be doing the clean up before the public are allowed back on.
