An inquest has ruled that a man who was found hanging by friends intended to take his own life.

Corey Taylor, 25, was found dead at his home in Shoebury on August 15.

An inquest was held at Chelmsford Coroners Court last week to establish the circumstances.

The court heard how concerned friends were unable to make contact with him and eventually decided they needed to gain entry to his home where they found him.

A post-mortem exam was carried out and found the cause of death to be asphyxia caused by hanging.

Senior Coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray ruled the death as a suicide and asked that condolences be expressed to his family.
