A MAN who was stabbed in the face and chest is now in a stable condition.
The man was left fighting for his life after being attacked at 1.30pm last Wednesday.
The victim, in his twenties, was attacked in Nevendon Road, Wickford.
Following the attack, armed officers cordoned off the property as well as nearby woodland as they conducted their investigation into the incident.
The man was airlifted to a hospital in London in critical condition, but police later confirmed that that he was no longer suffering from life-threatening injuries.
A home in Wickford has been boarded up as part of an ongoing police investigation after a man was stabbed in the face and stomach.
The house, in Nevendon Road, now has wooden boards covering the front door.
Following the attack, residents expressed their fears and said they hope it is an isolated incident.
At the time of The Echo going to print nobody has been arrested.
