CASTLE Point mayor Brian Wood learnt all about Canvey’s involvement in the First and Second World Wars as part of a special exhibition.
The display is being hosted at the Heritage Centre, in Canvey Road, by the team from the Bay Museum, on Western Esplanade.
Mr Wood, Tory councillor for the borough’s St George’s ward, said: “It was an excellent exhibition with so much to see and a wealth of knowledge from the volunteers. I was shown around and heard many facts, figures and amazing stories of the World Wars.
“The Bay Museum is run entirely by volunteers. It opens every Sunday and is free entry, although donations are welcome for its upkeep. Thank you everyone involved in this fascinating display.”
