A LUNCHEON club has celebrated its 20th anniversary.
Age UK’s lunch club, which meets at the Paddocks, in Long Road, Canvey, had a special event to mark the milestone.
Three members who were at the first meeting were there, and everyone enjoyed a buffet and a chance to have a catch up.
Live music was provided by Memories in Song All Stars Sing Along and the band donated all the money it made from the performance to Cancer Research UK.
More than 100 people attended and the sing-a-long proved very popular.
Peter May, chairman, said: “Everyone enjoyed themselves and the band was excellent.
“We also gave one of our volunteers, Andrew, a T-shirt with Elvis Presley on it as he is a big fan of the singer, which he was very pleased with.”
