• A MAN was handed a community order after he admitted defrauding his employer out of more than £2,000.

James Holloway, 36, of Pollards Close, Rochford, was working as a sales executive for Plastic Extruders when he stole the cash between August 8 and September 29 last year.

He admitted fraud by abuse of position at Southend Magistrates’ Court and was ordered to pay back £1,100, and £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Holloway must take part in a thinking skills course and carry out 150 hours of unpaid work.

  • A MAN has been charged with drug dealing offences.

Timothy Knight, 34, is charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin in Southend on March 10.

Knight, of Mullins Road, Braintree, entered not guilty pleas at Southend Magistrates’ Court.

He will appear at Basildon Crown Court on April 10.

  • A WOMAN was fined £50 after she admitted assaulting a man.

Katy Lockyer, 34, of Sedgemoor, Shoebury, assaulted them man on February 21 in Southend.

She admitted the offence at Southend Magistrates’ Court and was fined and ordered to pay £50 cots and an £85 victim surcharge.

  • A MAN has been jailed for breaching a domestic violence protection order.

Ally Welsh, 27, of Lundy Close, Southend, was arrested on March 7, two days after the order was granted at Southend Magistrates’ Court.

He admitted the offence, which was a second breach, and was jailed for 21 days.
