POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision involving a car and pizza delivery driver.

The crash happened shortly before 9pm in North Shoebury Road on Friday, at the entrance to the Asda car park.

A grey Fiat Punto collided with a red Peugeot scooter, knocking the rider off.

The 40-year-old victim was taken to Southend hospital by ambulance and suffered bruising to his back.

Police are keen to speak to a driver of a white Mercedes who witnessed the incident.
