AN MP has urged history afficionados to apply for funding to support future projects.
Rebecca Harris, Tory MP for Castle Point, attended an event in Parliament hosted by the Heritage Lottery Fund, where it was revealed almost £2.5 million has been spent on 30 projects in Castle Point over the last 23 years.
Mrs Harris said: “It was great to attend this event and hear more about Castle Point’s heritage assets and how they are being used by the community.
“I would urge constituents to think about the local heritage where they live, and think about how they could apply to HLF to undertake a project to explore it further.”
