Fire crews called to fire in motel
FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of a smoke issuing from a property in Southend Road, Corringham.
The fire took place today at 10.13am.
Four crews attended, including one from Corringham, Orsett, Basildon, and Grays.
When crews arrived they reported the roof space of the single storey motel was on fire.
Firefighters managed to quickly extinguish the fire by 11:30am.
An investigation will be carried out to establish how the fire started.
