KYLE LAFFERTY reckons Lee McCulloch's decision to retire form international football can only be a good thing for Rangers.
But the Ibrox striker insists there is no chance of him turning his back on his country to focus on turning on the style for Walter Smith's men.s.
But Northern Ireland internationalist Lafferty says he still loves pulling on his international jersey with pride.
"Lee has made his decision and people should respect that," he said. "He has said he wants to concentrate on his club career now and I feel the criticism has been over the top.
"Certainly though, Scotland's loss is Rangers' gain. It's probably good news for Rangers that he is totally committed now to playing for the club and wants to use all his energy into doing well for the team."
