HOLLAND coach Bert van Marwijk insists his side will get it right when they kick-off their World Cup qualifying bid this week.

The new Dutch boss is still searching for his first victory since replacing Marco van Basten after Euro 2008.

A 2-1 defeat in a friendly fixture against Australia in Eindhoven at the weekend has increased the pressure on him.

As they prepare to travel to Macedonia on Wednesday night, Marwijk said: "I was really disappointed with the defeat against Australia.

"I felt we lacked sharpness but in the second half we were better.

"Afterwards everyone was telling me Macedonia has beaten Scotland in Skopje and that Norway and Iceland had drawn in Olso.

"That is all very well, but we will be focusing on Wednesday against Macedonia. We will be much better than against Australia."

Josh Kennedy and Harry Kewell got the goals for the visitors after Ajax striker Klass Jan Huntelaar had opened the scoring.

The Dutch were reduced to 10 men when goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg saw red for a last-man foul.

Norway manager Age Hareide is threatening major changes ahead of next month's visit to Hampden to take on Scotland after his side's opening game of the campaign.

He was furious his side only managed a 2-2 draw at home to Iceland. Norway twice found themselves in the lead thanks to Steffen Iversen efforts, but Iceland battled back with goals from Heidar Helguson and Eidur Gudjohnsen.

And Hareide said: "At international level, you cannot make such mistakes. I will have to find players who will not make mistakes. It is a huge task for me."
