DELIVERY giant TNT has celebrated 30 years in business by raising £25,000 in 30 days for hundreds of charities.
TNT staff at its depot in James Street, on the Righead Industrial Estate in Bellshill, decided to bring an extra Christmas treat to mark the event by embarking on a month-long fundraising extravaganza.
Called the "30-30-30" challenge, staff were encouraged to come up with 30 ideas for fundraising efforts and 30 charities to benefit.
More than 50 TNT Express Services depots and offices staged a huge range of fundraising activities, including sky dives, fancy dress days and fitness sessions, raising cash for charities such as Breast Cancer Care, Blue Cross and RNIB.
Glasgow depot general manager Brian Lowe said: "What a fantastic effort from the team. It was great to see staff conjure up cracking fund-raising events."
