SIX drunken Scots who disgraced themselves aboard a Glasgow holiday flight are facing a lifetime ban from Thomas Cook Airlines.

As later editions of the Evening Times reported last night, the six men abused cabin crew both verbally and physically, jumped up and down in their seats and smoked in the toilets.

Their conduct was so bad the captain alerted Spanish authorities and all six were arrested on arrival at Reus Airport near Barcelona on Tuesday evening.

However, police later released the men and it's claimed they then continued to run amok at the Los Angeles hotel in Salou where they are staying.

It is unclear how the six will get back home as Thomas Cook has said they will not be allowed back on any of its charter flights.

A Thomas Cook spokesman said the firm would hold a conference call with Strathclyde Police later today to discuss the men's fate.

He added: "We have made it clear these men will not be welcome on our flights ever again.

"We are seeking prosecution and that could take the form of an air navigation order."

No charges are thought to have been brought against the six men by Spanish police but Thomas Cook will push for a UK prosecution.

The travel firm said the group, aged 25 to 36, became disruptive soon after their flight left Glasgow Airport.

It was claimed one man bit the arm of one of the cabin crew as she leaned over to serve tea and coffee.
