DOZENS of community and faith groups joined together at a summer fair to celebrate harmony and diversity.
The 11th Big Event, organised by Southend Community in Harmony Partnership, took place in Priory Park, Southend, on Sunday.

The free event brought the community together with lots of fun activities, bouncy castles and displays, live music, as well as British and ethnic food.

The partnership aims to celebrate the diversity, culture and heritage of the town.

A spokesman said: “We strongly believe this helps break down barriers and encourages friendship among people of different ages, backgrounds, interests, ethnic origins."
