DOMINO’s Pizza stores in Rayleigh and Hadleigh have joined forces with other fast-food outlets across Essex to take part in a litter campaign.

Called ‘Love Essex’, the campaign is a promotion by Keep Britain Tidy that has seen staff from Domino’s, McDonalds and KFC help clean up the county’s streets.

Domino’s became a signatory of the Litter Prevention Agreement in May, another initiative from Keep Britain Tidy, which focuses on raising awareness of the economic and environmental impact of litter.

Niraj Madlani, Domino’s franchisee in Rayleigh and Hadleigh, said: “We are passionate about getting involved in this campaign.

“Litter has become a huge problem and as a brand we do our best to promote the responsible disposal of our pizza boxes.

“There is a lot of work to be done across the country to reduce litter, but if we can help to make a difference in Essex, then it’s a good start.”
