POLICE are hunting this man after meat was stolen from a shop.

A man entered the Co-operative in London Road, Benfleet and stole meat worth £20 on April 12.

Police have only now released a photograph of a man they are trying to track down to speak to.

They have so far been unable to identify him from their enquiries and hope the public may know who he is due to his distinctive grey hat.

Anyone with information should call Pc Paul Ledger at Rayleigh Police Station on 101.

How many times has this shop been hit with meat theft now? I would of thought they would of at least got a security guard in there.

with reference to the previous comment , yes , getting a security guard would seem a sensible thing to do , however , if you examine the way that the co op group is (badly) run you aoon realise that logic has little to do in their decision making process
