A YOUNG woman was robbed in a park.

A 24-year-old was injured as she struggled to keep hold of her handbag in Friars Park, Shoebury at about 8.10am on Thursday May 15.

The suspect demanded she hand over the bag and after refusing to do so he grabbed it from the woman’s buggy.

As the victim tried to retrieve it from his grasp she was slightly injured.

The suspect is described as a white male of around 29-years-old with a slim build and 5’10 in height. He was wearing a dirty looking grey tracksuit with a zipped jumper and white trainers.

Pc Victoria Leese said: "I’m keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or who recognises the description of the suspect.”
