The family of a young dad who died after being stabbed in Braintree last month have held a vigil at the scene of the attack.
Michael Haastrup, 24, was stabbed outside a flat in Cressing Road on the evening of April 16.
He was taken to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford and was due to be transferred to Papworth Hospital, in Cambridge, on April 17 but died before medics could stabilise him.
Mr Haastrup, of Southend, had a four-month old son, Eli, and had only recently started a new job.
Last night, his family held a vigil at the scene of the stabbing.
