POLICE want to identify a man caught on CCTV who is suspected of stealing a £15 bottle of champagne from the Co-op store in Spa Road, Hockley, last month.

The man, thought to be around 6ft 4in tall, was wearing light blue jeans, a light blue polo shirt and grey and black hoody.

He entered the store at 4pm on Sunday, March 30, picked up the champagne and hid it in his hooded top, before leaving the store without attempting to pay.

Anyone who recognises the man should call PC Lucy Bearman at Rayleigh Police Station on 101, or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
