TWO people were taken to hospital after a crash near Southend Airport

Three ambulances and two rapid response vehicles were sent to the scene at Manners Way just before 11pm last night. 

The crash was just off the Harp House roundabout near Southend Airport.

The ambulance service took two casualties to Southend Hospital for treatment.

Their condition is not yet known but their injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

One fire engine from Southend attended at 10.56pm, the vehicle and road were made safe and they left the scene at 11.13pm.

Earlier last night a car was seen overturned in a field opposite just past Warners Bridge in Southend Road.

An ambulance attended the scene but only minor injuries were sustained by one person and nobody required hospital treatment.
