A MAN has been banned from driving after being involved in a hit-and-run.
Peter Morris, 59, of Eastwood Park Drive, Leigh, admitted failing to provide a breath specimen and failing to stop or report an accident to the police on December 13 when he appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court.
Morris had been driving a Vauxhall Omega along Kenilworth Gardens, Westcliff, when he was involved in an accident with the car of Clairey Scott, who suffered whiplash.
He was banned from driving for 14 months and made subject of a curfew for three months with an electronic tag. He was also ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £105 costs.
