BURGLARS stole a four figure sum of cash in a house robbery in Southend.

The home, in Newington Avenue, was broken into via a kitchen window between 8pm on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, and 3.50am on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, and items including a Sony mobile phone, a Samsung Galazy tablet, a wallet containing credit cards were taken.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Dc Andy Copley at Southend CID, on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
