THE Voice singer Leanne Jarvis belted out some Christmas tunes to get people into the festive spirit at a school fair.
St Thomas More School, in Westcliff, was lucky enough to secure the services of the singer, 25, from Southchurch, who performed on the last series of the BBC1 show.
Leanne sang in front of an audience as part of the school’s fair.
Another main attraction at the event was a Christmas tree forest, created by pupils from schools across the borough.
Sixth formers visited primary schools to encourage them to create the trees from recycled materials.
It led the way to Father Christmas’ grotto. The best ones were judged by deputy mayor Chris Walker and winners were presented with certificates at the event.
The event was raising money for the school and also Southend homeless charity Harp.
