POLICE arewarning against organising illegal raves after shutting down two in beauty spots in Hampshire.

They busted the outdoor party at the Cadnam Pool car park, near Fritham, in the New Forest on Saturday, finding 10 people, five vehicles and sound equipment.

The other was shortly before 4.30am on Sunday, at Bramshill Plantation in Yateley. Here up to 30 people were found in woods.

On both occasions, officers told the organisers that the gatherings were illegal. Action was then taken to disband the revellers and the sites cleared.

Superintendent James Fulton said: “Hampshire Constabulary takes a robust stance to dealing with any unlicensed music events within our borders.

“These type of illegal gatherings cause disruption and distress to local communities and anyone organising or attending such an event runs the risk of gaining a criminal record.

“On these two occasions we responded swiftly and were met with co-operation by those in attendance.”
