Broken down bus causes delays through Rochford

A BROKEN down bus caused long tailbacks along Sutton Road.

The Stephenson's double decker stopped near Purdeys Industrial Estate in Rochford on the way into Southend.

Commuters reported  long queues back into Rochford on Monday morning.

Why can't they get it towed back to its depot, and work on it there!

Ancient vehicles? Have you looked at what Arriva has to offer? Stephensons has the best/most modern fleet in Southend! Yes they may have a couple of old deckers but its much better than what Arriva has.

there is a scrap heap just round the corner tow it there I could do with an old perkins for the boat.

I hope he didn't let the passengers out, its against health & safety rules to allow passengers to depart anywhere but an actual stop.

Having said that if he did, then they deserved to be criticized for refusing to let the passengers off & putting health and safety over common sense.

Not a bad company,, But not a good one ,some good vehicles & some really bad ones,...........so its 50/50 for me !!
