THE sister of a tragic teenager who died following a heart attack at a Southend nightclub has paid a touching tribute.

Leane Abbott, 22, remembered her “beautiful baby brother” Mark, 18, who collapsed at Mayhem nightclub in the early hours of Tuesday last week after a night out with friends.

Mark, a computer-mad student of Newington Avenue, Southend, suffered a further heart attack and passed away at Southend Hospital on Friday.

Sister Leane has now posted on the Echo’s Facebook page: “RIP my beautiful baby brother, such a kind gentle giant not a single bad word to say.

“You were and still are perfect in every way, I’m never going to feel whole again.
“I love you more than words will ever explain and no words will ever explain the hurt we are all feeling over our loss.”

Cecil Jones school which Mark once attended and South Essex College where he was a computer studies student also paid tribute to the popular, cheerful and unassuming youngster.

Mayhem nightclub has organised a fundraiser on Monday for his family in tribute to the teenager.

Entry to the event, which runs from 9pm to 3am, is priced at £3 after 10pm.
