CCTV images of suspected Waitrose burglars released CCTV images of suspected Waitrose burglars released

THIS thief was caught on CCTV - and is a dead ringer for children's cartoon character Burglar Bill.

CCTV images of two men suspected of stealing electrical equipment from Waitrose on Christmas Eve have been released.

Police have this morning released images of two men believed to have stolen two cameras and X box controllers from Waitrose in Fossetts Way, Southend, on December 24.

One of the men had a distinctive striped top just like Burglar Bill.

Anyone who can name the two men, or knows anything about the stolen items, is asked to contact Dc Paul Brown at Southend CID on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Sounds like you are sticking up for them by putting in a good word....a burglar is a burglar, if one robbed your place would you say the same...'well at least they where sensible'..

and its Lidl.

Many Thanks.

Oh come on Dog's Mess! It was obviously a tongue-in-cheek comment on how these ludicrous idiots are rather discerning in their choice of which supermarkets to rob from.

May we have some enlightenment from you on the comments made here about the top he's wearing? Surely they're giving him tips on how not to be such a cartoon criminal?

Many, many thanks

Most people with any kind of sense of humour would find this story a little bit amusing. However with a name like dogsmess I dont suppose you find anything funny.

Well dogsmess. After pointing out the spelling of Liddle to Lidl im sure you have lots of Lidl bags at home so I suggest you use them to clear up the dogsmess from your lounge. I do not support crime but and I have not got a shop for them to break into. I hope the fella in the hooped shirt stole himself a nice shirt . The robber also had a sense of humour to wear that shirt.

Fair play, it's nice of a burglar to actually wear an outfit which identifies him as a burglar.
More criminals need to follow his example and be a little bit more considerate to the people they rob.
