David Hasselhoff has revealed he dresses up as himself for Halloween - and no one realises it's really him.

The 62-year-old actor and singer - known all over the world for his roles in Knight Rider and Baywatch - is used to getting stopped all the time by fans wanting autographs and selfies. But Halloween is the one night he can go out with no one hassling The Hoff.

David, who has brought out his own Zombie app in time for Halloween, revealed: "The year before last I went with Hayley [Roberts, his girlfriend] as Jekyll and Hyde to the Playboy mansion, and I got hassled so much - everybody wanted a picture and the more alcohol the more aggressive they were.

"So last year I went out as the perfect Halloween costume - I went out as David Hasselhoff. I put my own mask on and I walked around and nobody bothered me at all!

"They said, 'You sound like him, you walk like him', and I say, 'What do you think of him'. But it's a good laugh."

The Hoff has been recreated in digital form in his old Baywatch uniform, brandishing a blunderbuss to shoot zombies for his new computer game.

He said: "We've been working on it for a few years, I think it's because I just got done watching Zombieland. We figured zombies at the beach - Pamela Anderson zombies, a few other zombies that you'll recognise and make it fun. It's a family game.

"If you get the highest score we'll probably have a big zombie party, or make a zombie out of whoever wins, or put them in a movie, because it's fun!"
