The Logistics course at South Essex College has teamed up with Career Ready to give students the best possible opportunities to enter the industry.

National charity, Career Ready, launched a partnership programme with the Business, Logistics and Supply Chain course at the College’s Thurrock Campus.

The students will have access to mentoring, workplace visits, masterclasses from business leaders and work-based experiences with local and national companies.

Mark Bentley, logistics course leader, said: “These great opportunities will help them get ready for the world of work.

“We’re offering students a unique learning experience in an industry that is growing rapidly in the local area.”

Debbie Farrell, Essex regional manager for Career Ready, said: “The programme will really open the students eyes to new employment possibilities, raise their aspirations and help them to make informed decisions about their career paths.”

Established in 2002, Career Ready has helped nearly 10,000 young people aged 16 to 19 through their programmes, which run alongside academic studies.
