In total, 20 students from the Deanes School, Thundersley, entered the Lions Club of Castle Point’s annual Peace Poster Competition.
As well as taking home cash prizes of up to £30 for their designs, the two winning entrants, Year 8 pupil Callum Louis Alexander and Louise Dallow from Year 7, will go on to compete in the regional stage of the competition against clubs in Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.
The winner of the second stage will go on to the national competition where one winner is chosen to go Lions club headquarters in the USA for the international level, the fourth and final stage of the competition.
The international winner will receive a cash prize of about £2,000, and a trip to New York for themselves and two family members.
In New York, they will get the chance to attend International Lions Day at the United Nations Building.
